This is a special Broom Ocean 42 that has had only two owners and was the last one built in July 1989 ,no36.
Very really a vessel of this standard comes on the market that can offer so much. Do not under estimate this fine vessel in any way, it has a very extensive list of equipment to accommodate all types of cruising / usage which is also with comfort and safety foremost, or a fantastic quality living home .

6 berth but the saloon settee has ample room for an extra berth if required. This model has the layout of island berths , fore cabin and the owners suite aft. Plus a two single berths on the starboard side. Within the owners suite it has the luxury of a king size berth plus having an expensive well thought out ventilated mattress above an Airflow slatted bed base kit which gives maximising comfort for all year usage. The saloon can comfortable seat 6 plus and a bespoke dinning / coffee folding table .Yet again fantastic stowage with glass & drinks cupboards and other stowage areas including a raised chart table. The galley is adjacent to the saloon aft, with a large worktop area complete with two sinks. A 4 burner gas ring hob, a good size oven plus a microwave all complement a fantastic working area for preparing meals etc. A washing machine adds to the home comforts. There are two heads both with showers and the head room is a comfortable 2 meters though the boat. The upper deck / cockpit is also very spacious along with good all round vision and well protected with various canopy arrangements.
This vessel was moulded by Aquafibre then fitted out by Brooms. The internal woodwork is to a very high standard of Sapile. A low airdraft of 3.15 (10.4 feet) is unusual for this model. Excellent head room internally and in the cockpit. Wide safe decks are none slip and designed on the same level, Strong and well positioned stainless steel guard rails and hand points. Boarding ladder. Fender baskets, S/S bridge gauge on pulpit. GRP matching hinged stowage lockers on aft deck. Hull recently antifouled, Gas assisted struts for ease of lowering the radar mast. 7 HP Bow thruster, Upper and lower helms. LED lighting throughout the boat. Flyscreens and blinds add to the comfort for all year round cruising.

Performance wise, this vessel is capable of a maximum 22 knts, Cruising speed of 15 knts and an economy displacement of 8 knts .
Despite the many voyages / hours undertaken with this vessel. the engines are very well maintained and serviced regular to enable first and foremost the reliability whilst at sea and away from its home base.
