Reduced to sell, this Moody 27 with new engine offers the opportunity to own a delightfully reliable family cruiser at a very affordable price.
She is well maintained, and clean and tidy throughout. Easy to sail single handed, but also comfortable for 4/5 people, she is an ideal boat for many reasons. The Moody 27 was designed by Bill Dixon with the famous build quality of Moody Yachts, with a fast hull and a good ballast ratio to make her both stiff, seaworthy, and sea kindly. Built in 1982, she looks and feels like a much more modern boat.
Her internal accommodation consists of 5 berths in two separate cabins, all with really good headroom. Once again, in clean and tidy condition with ample space for sitting, dining, sleeping and stowage, as shown in the photo's.
There is a gas oven (gimbal), gas hob, inbuilt cool box (fridge), sink with cold water and good storage around the kitchen and further internal shelving.
In 2023, she was fitted with a new 18hp Volvo engine which is very smooth and reliable. The propshaft and propella were also replaced at that time and with 2 recent batteries and trickle solar, she always starts well. Also included is a chart plotter making navigation simple. She has been regularly serviced and antifouled.
A fin-keeled vessel, she is a genuine and sound boat and represents a good value opportunity for someone looking for a solid family yacht of this type.
Enjoyed by our family for the past 6 years, time pressures now sadly force sale. If you have any questions, or would like to arrange a viewing, please do get in touch.
