Description
Oyster OM43 2009
The Oyster OM43 from 2009 features twin Cummins 480 HP diesel engines on shafts to Hamilton jets with mouse control. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of only four vessels in existence. The Oyster OM43 offers 4 berths in two cabins, complemented by a generous saloon and cockpit, all on one level leading to the helm.
Inspired by the classic aesthetics of post-war pilot launches and patrol boats, the OM43 was developed in response to requests from Oyster sailing yacht owners seeking a fast and elegant motor yacht that matches the attention to detail and build quality of their existing Oyster vessels.
Beyond her timeless exterior, the OM43 is a modern motor cruiser equipped with twin jet drives, reducing the draft to just 68 centimetres and eliminating the need for propellers or rudders. Close quarters handling is a pleasure, as the OM43 can be maneuvered using a conventional wheel and throttles or via a joystick or mouse. Her Cummins 480hp turbo diesels provide the power to reach 30 knots at wide open throttle and cruise effortlessly at 22 knots.
The accommodation is both elegant and simple, featuring a large and spacious cockpit aft that leads into a comfortable saloon. The OM43 includes two guest cabins: one large forward double island berth and a second large double berth that can convert into twin berths when needed. A large and spacious linear galley is located aft of the helm position, while the head/shower is situated to starboard, featuring a large shower compartment and separate heads.
Cora has been under the same ownership since her launch in 2009. She has been cruised locally, maintained regardless of cost, and presents in first-class condition. Cora has always been maintained by one of the ex-Broom employees who actually built her back in 2009.
