Sorceress a 60ft Gaff Cutter designed and built by Arthur E Payne in 1878 for Captain Lynch Staunton a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron.
Captain Lynch Staunton also owned Mermaid 1860 built by Arthur Paynes father Alfred.
Sorceress was launched in the year of Alfreds death so one could imagine her being on the cusp of the evolution of yacht design with Arthur Payne going on to produce yachts such as Cariad, Javelin, Wayward and Artemis.

The Blackwater Sloop is a popular classic pocket-cruiser.
‘Vydra’, built in 1961, designed and built in Maldon, Essex. She has the popular raised-topside layout of design and as a result benefits from having comfortable sitting headroom and greater cabin space below and a larger, more useable decks on top. Her Yanmar diesel engine has been stripped down and rebuilt by Woodbridge Boat Yard in 2020 and requires re installing.

WALLOP was designed and built by Harry Feltham in Portsmouth in 1929 for her first owner S Tonkin of London W1. Later registered in Southampton, official number 161711.
In the late 1930s, Major Robert Spencer M C, J P of London W2 acquired WALLOP keeping her in Southampton. Merewif, deemed to be hull number 2 of the Sovereign Class, C.R. Holman design built by the renowned Uphams Boatyard of Brixham. Listed in Lloyds Register built to A100A1 grading.
